Major Brands Going Fur-Free for 2018
Micheal Kors, Tom Ford and Jimmy Choo are the latest elite designers to say goodbye to fur for 2018 and Twitter is nothing but thrilled. This is a major triumph in the animal rights movement, fashionistas who are animal lovers are over the moon.
Nowadays with the technology that we have, we are able to substitute fur with synthetic materials to be equal to or just as better than fur. There is no reason to cause a being pain and suffering with all of the technological advances that we have in 2017.
Kors said in a statement, "Due to technological advances in fabrications, we now have the ability to create a luxe aesthetic using non-animal fur. We will showcase these new techniques in our upcoming runway show in February."
This marks a new chapter in the fashion and design world, designers are able to experiment with state of the art fabric and vanguard design.
Other brands that chose to go fur-free are Gucci, Calvin Klein, Ralph Lauren, Tommy Hilfiger, and Armani.
